Travel information

Your door to Zurich: thanks to its very central location, our hotel is the perfect base for your stay in Zurich. The main station is only a five-minute walk away, as are the historic old town, the shopping street of the famous Bahnhofstrasse and the university / Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. Most of the cultural sights and the lake are easily accessible by foot.

Arrival by plane / train

Walking from the station, approx. 5-7 minutes
Please take the exit on platform 16. Walk along the right-hand side of the station, cross the station forecourt and Walche Bridge in front of you. 70 metres ahead of you, you will see a passageway: use it, and then turn left. Continue for a further 150 metres, and you will see our hotel on the right-hand side of the street.

Train from the airport
A train leaves the airport for the main station approx. every 10 minutes. The single fare costs approx. CHF 6. The airport station is located directly beneath the arrivals hall. The journey to Zurich main station takes 12 minutes. See www.sbb.ch for the timetable.

Taxi from the airport
Depending on the traffic, a taxi costs between CHF 50 and 60. The journey takes 15-30 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Arrival by car

Via Basel / Bern
• Take the motorway in the direction of Zurich
• Approaching Zurich, follow the “City” sign as far as the main station
• Drive around the station (stay in the outer right-hand lane)
• On the other side of the station, take the left-hand lane
• Turn off to the left (180° bend: Hotel Schweizerhof is located on the right-hand
side)
• Take the right-hand lane, drive straight ahead across the bridge
• After the bridge, turn off to the right and get in the left-hand lane
• Stay in the left-hand lane to drive around the tram islands
• Turn off to the right in front of Hotel Central Plaza (sign to Hotel Bristol)
• Drive straight ahead for 200m: the hotel is located on the right-hand side of the street

Via Schaffhausen, St. Gallen or the airport
• Take the motorway in the direction of Zurich
• Approaching Zurich, follow the “Transit, City” sign
• At the end of Schöneich Tunnel, turn off to the left
• Take the right-hand land and turn off to the right in front of Hotel Marriott
• Follow the river, left-hand lane
• Go straight on at the first traffic light
• Stay in the left-hand lane and turn left at the next turn-off (sign to the Bristol)
• After 50 metres, turn off to the left again
• Drive straight ahead for 200m: the hotel is located on the right-hand side of the street

Via Chur
• Take the motorway in the direction of Zurich
• Approaching Zurich, follow the “City” sign
• At Bahnhofplatz, turn to the right (Hotel Schweizerhof is located on the right-hand
side)
• Take the right-hand lane, drive straight ahead across the bridge
• After the bridge, turn off to the right and get in the left-hand lane
• Stay in the left-hand lane to drive around the tram islands
• Turn off to the right in front of Hotel Central Plaza (sign to Hotel Bristol)
• Drive straight ahead for 200m: the hotel is located on the right-hand side of the street

Parking

Parking is available in the public car parks. Parking is free of charge on workdays between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. and between 4 p.m. on Saturdays until 8 a.m. on Monday. A parking fee of CHF 5 for maximum 2 hours is payable Monday to Saturday.

Public multi-storeys close to the hotel
Hotel Continental (150m), parking fee CHF 25 for 24 hours: can only be reserved on the date of arrival by the reception.

Stampfenbach multi-storey (800m), parking fee CHF 15 for 24 hours. These prices are only valid for guests of Hotel Bristol. Purchase your parking ticket beforehand at the reception.
